About
Founded on a love of music and hip-hop culture DJ Stray got started djing in 2000. With over 20 years of experience DJ Stray is a veteran in the dj game. Holding multiple residencies in Portland, OR during that time Stray has been a constant figure in the Portland nightlife and beyond.
Whether it’s been clubs, events, weddings, contests, radio or cruise ships there isn’t an avenue he hasn’t been down. Stray has also shared the stage w/ hip hop greats such as Beastie Boys DJ Mix Master Mike, Souls of Mischief, Hieroglyphics, Blackalicious, DJ Shortkut, The Alkaholiks, DJ Maseo of De La Soul and the legendary KRS-One who he also dj’d for. In 2011 and 2012 Stray was brought on as Royal Carribean’s “celebrity dj” on the Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas cruise ships. In 2019 Stray was a guest on Eminem’s Shade 45 Sirius XM channel broadcasted worldwide. He was awarded “Mix of the Week” after his apperance. These days Stray is committed as ever to the art of djing, mixing and preserving the culture doing all vinyl nights at various spots in Portland and elsewhere and staying busy djing clubs and events.
